Produced in Jaén, Andalusia, the birthplace of the Santana factory, this 1988 3. 5 model represents the culmination of robust, uncompromising craftsmanship, ideal for both vintage 4x4 enthusiasts and professionals looking for a reliable utility vehicle.

The example we are offering has a resolutely adventurous look, with its axe and shovel fixed to the bonnet, ropes on the bumpers, vintage stickers and tow bar, this Santana is ready for the big departure! Its authentic styling recalls the expeditions of the Camel Trophy era, of which Santana was one of the technical partners in Spain. This vehicle was entrusted to us for sale by one of our loyal customers, who picked it up in Spain and brought it back by road. He also used it regularly for return trips to Corsica, which testifies to its unfailing reliability.
Mechanically, the 3. 5-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine starts easily and is very torquey. Carefully maintained, this vehicle has undergone a number of recent works, including replacement of the diesel pump, the pre-heating system and an upgrade of the cooling system. The LT85 gearbox, reputed to be indestructible, guides and locks well, and is combined with an overdrive, a rare option as standard. The short gearbox and transfer case work properly, while the clutch behaves well and shows no signs of wear. The brakes are effective and well balanced, thanks in particular to the front disc brakes. The front axle has been completely rebuilt, and all 4 tyres are new. The bodywork is in good condition, with the beige paintwork retaining its lustre.
The underpinnings have been treated, are in excellent condition and free from corrosion. The interior is harmonious but shows a few signs of use, reflecting the vehicle's history, while the rear seats are in excellent condition.
