Description
The base of the car is a 1981 monte carlo with tags, the body was professionally widened. It's a full steel body. Fitted bigger front ventilated brake discs with brembo 4 pot calipers, the rear brakes were also upgraded. The back struts were taken out and fitted with the wish bone suspension in order for the 19" 305 wheels could fit at the rear with bilstein shocks all around and the mags are a 3 piece split rim.
Engine and transmission, its a 4. 0L V8 1UZ (square rail) engine fitted with a K31 BorgWarner turbocharger, fitted a smaller exhaust housing(twin scroll) to reduce turbo lag and its spooling up fast considering the size of the turbo, fitted a big intercooler at the back with the side air ducts directly channels over the cooler, 2 extractor fans were also fitted underneath the cooler.
Audi / Porsche 5 speed manual transmission with a copper clutch.
None of the original chassis was cut or joined, only reinforced. Fitted with a Powermods management system for the engine, there is a boost and AFR gauge. 2x Corbeau seats with 4 point harness were fitted. The whole interior was also fitted with sound deadening to reduce road and engine noise inside the car. The panel behind the seat comes out to make it easier to access the motor for maintenance. In front is a 40L fuel cell, brake booster, battery, etc. 2x bosh 044 fuel pumps were also fitted.
Really fun to drive, head turner and for the love of fast cars.
