1929 Jowett 17/ 7 LWB Lightweight Van
The 907cc 7hp engine known affectionately as the ‘little engine with the big pull’.
An extremely rare and individual vehicle which lends itself perfectly to promotions, advertising, coffee or food van.
Over time, it has had much work carried out but still looks and feels very period. Interestingly, the buff logbook with the van was issued only a few days after Britian’s declaration of war in September 1939.
This vehicle was part of a private collection, and the owner says that 'the only other surviving example believed to be in existence is restored Bradford Telegraph & Argus newspaper van displayed in the Yorkshire industrial museum.'
Fitted with coil ignition and electric start from new.
Incredibly, it shows only one former owner.
