Lot 29
1987 Kawasaki KH-125
Registration no. E182 UNE
Frame no. KH125K-004301
Engine no. KH125DE014535
Kawasaki Heavy Industries was already a supplier of proprietary engines and manufacturer of complete machines under the Meihatsu name when in 1962 it introduced the first Kawasaki-badged model, the 125cc B8, descendants of which would be produced up to 1980. Before then, Kawasaki's long-established '125' range had been augmented by the arrival in 1977 of the KH125A1: "The Reliable And Cost-Conscious Commuter With Style." A more modern design boasting a full tubular frame, disc front brake and a six-speed gearbox, the KH125 in its various versions was catalogued until relatively recent times, being last listed in 1998.
This KH125 was requiring restoration when acquired by the private vendor in 1998. The engine was seized and the machine's full restoration took the vendor approximately 6-9 months to complete. Kept dry stored in the garage when not in use, it is only being sold to make room for a recently purchased Triumph Bonneville. Currently displaying a total of 7, 712 miles on the odometer (at the time of cataloguing/ photography), the Kawasaki was last started/ run in January 2026 (see video on the Bonhams web site). Prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves with regard to the motorcycle's completeness, authenticity, originality and mechanical condition prior to bidding.
Documents include Owner's Manual and Kawasaki Motorcycle Warranty and Service booklet; a recently expired MoT certificate (September 2025); and a current V5C Registration Certificate.
£800 - 1, 200
All lots are sold ‘as is/ where is’ and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding. Visit the Bonhams Motorcycles website for all pertinent auction information.
