Description
History:
With the 997 Phase 2, Porsche modernised the 911 with light-emitting diodes for better visibility, optionally with a Sport Package Plus for optimised engine response and increased performance, and new communication management with a touchscreen and modern navigation system. This model was first delivered by Porsche Spain in Madrid and, at the buyer's request, painted in cream white, which was not available for this model. With all the extras, this all-wheel drive 911 came with a list of options totalling over €40, 000. The owner moved to Switzerland and took her 997 Phase 2 with her to her new home. In October 2025, the 997 is freshly inspected and serviced at Porsche St. Gallen.
Bodywork and paintwork:
The bodywork is immaculate and, following a complete repaint, the paintwork is in mint condition with an outstanding deep gloss. Originally painted silver, the bodywork was repainted in Porsche's original cream white colour at the customer's request.
Interior:
The stunningly beautiful interior was ordered with the leather package, which gives it an extremely high-quality and elegant appearance. Every switch in this fully equipped model has a function. The vehicle, which was driven and maintained by a lady, leaves nothing to be desired and is in absolutely mint condition.
Engine and mechanics:
With its base output of 345 hp, the Porsche Carrera is already very well powered. What an S with the Sport Package Plus can do is impressive. Not only 45 additional hp, but also extremely fast response times allow it to sprint to 100 km/ h in just over four seconds and reach a top speed of just under 300 km/ h. The 68, 500 km covered to date have been driven over long distances, and a complete service booklet demonstrates Porsche's serious technical care.
Chassis :
The electronically controlled Porsche Active Suspension Management, in conjunction with the powerful braking system, ensures a high level of safety. The so-called Fuchs rim was originally developed for the Sport Classic, which was limited to 250 units. Those who could afford it equipped their 997. 2 with the set, which was listed on the options list for over CHF 7, 000.
Driving experience:
Driving a Porsche cannot be described, it has to be experienced. The 911 is known for being able to be driven in all situations, whether very sporty, defensive or just cruising along, a 911 forgives almost any driving style. And the all-wheel drive on this model provides additional safety in bad weather.
Recommendation:
Owning a Porsche means paying a high price for above-average quality. And it means experiencing very little depreciation over the years. This unique and lovingly equipped model is certainly worthy of a collection. According tot he British Hexagon Classics, the 997. 2 strikes the perfect balance between minimal driving aids and superb sporting performance, making it a solid investment.
