1972 Honda CB750 K2

Engine no. CB750E-2024602

Almost 60 years on, it is hard to imagine the impact the Honda CB750 had on the motorcycling world when it was unveiled to a stunned public at the 1968 Tokyo Show. True, there had been plenty of four-cylinder motorcycles before, but these had been built in relatively small numbers and aimed at the wealthy few. Here for the first time was a mass-produced four within the financial reach of the average enthusiast, and one whose specification - overhead camshaft, disc front brake, five-speed gearbox, electric starter, etc - made the opposition look obsolete overnight. Only relatively minor changes were made as the CB750 progressed through K0, K1 and K2 variants, the most significant advance along the way being the adoption of a new throttle operating mechanism in which the four separate cables were replaced by a rocker-arm arrangement, resulting in lighter and smoother operation. A trend-setting design of immense significance and one of the truly great classic motorcycles, the CB750 is highly sought after today by collectors.

This CB750K2 was first registered in the UK in 2014 having been imported from the USA (see copy title on file). Purchased by the current vendor in 2015, it currently displays a total of 8, 599 miles on the odometer. The private vendor has had servicing work carried out recently by the Motorcycle Doctor Sussex. Related invoices are on file and the machine also comes with a V5C Registration Certificate; three expired MoTs; current MoT to 2nd December 2026; and the aforementioned invoices and copy US Title.

£3, 000 - 4, 000
