Exterior / Bodywork:
The model presented here is a DB9 “Touchtronic II” from September 2004 in its original colour “Titanium Silver” (Matching colour).
After a professional polish with the orbit for our workshop, we noted a very slight paint defect on the tailgate (0. 5 cm).
The bumpers are in excellent condition despite a few minor superficial scuffs under the front right bumper.
This example is equipped with rear parking aid, essential given the limited visibility when manoeuvring.
We noted a light craze on the right front headlight.
The original 19” “ten spokes” wheels are in very good condition, with no knocks or deformation, despite some scuff marks around the rims.
These are shod with PIRELLI PZero tires showing 30% wear at the front and 20% at the rear.
Among the notable body equipment and options this exemplar carries, we highlight: the 4 “ten spokes” 19” wheels and rear parking aid.
Interior:
The full leather interior retains its strict original layout and presents in excellent condition.
The leather upholstery in “Obsidian Black” with electric adjustment and heated function is in good, unworn condition with no rips, pulls or discolouration.
We noted a slight patina on the upper edge of the driver’s seat back bolster.
The door cards are also in excellent condition, with no interior access marks or sagging.
The leather dashboard in “Black” and its cap are free from discolouration.
All dashboard instruments and comfort features are fully functional except for the era GPS.
This example is fitted with optional crystal ashtray + cigarette lighter as well as centre console Piano Black.
The original carpets in “Black” are in excellent original condition, with no wear or discolouration.
Among the interesting interior features this car has: crystal ashtray + cigarette lighter pack, electric heated leather seats, leather steering wheel with paddles, Alcantara headliner, cruise control, automatic climate control, ASTON MARTIN CD Radio System, and the centre console “Piano Black”.
Chassis:
The inspection on the hoist confirms an excellent chassis with no visible collision damage or structural corrosion.
FUNDAMENTALS: floorpan, longitudinal members, sills and wheel arches are in excellent condition.
The flat undertray is in excellent condition with no cracks.
We noted a few marks under the engine protection plate.
As a rule we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond what is visually and functionally validated during road test and on the hoist.
During dynamic testing we did not hear any abnormal rattling from the body or suspension components (ball joints, bushings...).
Braking is balanced, stable and progressive, albeit not particularly durable on the DB9.
Front and rear brake discs show 25% wear.
Front brake pads show 25% wear.
Rear brake pads show 50% wear.
The pre-delivery technical inspection performed by our workshop will confirm proper overall function.
Engine / Transmission:
The original service booklet confirms maintenance carried out at an ASTON MARTIN authorised dealer and marque specialists (invoices total €15, 959).
The V12 fires up at the first turn and the idle is steady, as confirmed by the 360° video showing the engine running, available at the start of the slideshow.
Road test by our workshop confirms a healthy drivetrain.
Once up to temperature, the engine revs freely with no hiccups or suspect noises.
The “Touchtronic II” sequential gearbox shifts through all six speeds without jerks or slipping.
As with many older engines, oil seals between engine, gearbox and axle are average.
