MINISCAMP 1300CC SIX-WHEEL UTILITY VEHICLE - REBUILT 1982 (1970 CHASSIS) HIGHLY RARE!A rare and highly distinctive example of British specialist engineering, this Mini Scamp is presented in an unusual and highly rare six-wheel configuration, based upon an original 1970 chassis and subsequently rebuilt by the vendors late father and reconfigured in 1982 in a style slightly reminiscent of Indo-Asian pinfluenced lorry owner-drivers with bespoke bodywork, oversized mirrors, air horns and single 3ft wide rear door. This little vehicle certainly has a larger than life road-presence.. Scamps, famed for their rugged simplicity and versatility, occupy a niche yet well-regarded position within the classic Mini-derived vehicle world; six-wheel variants, however, are exceptionally scarce and seldom encountered. Powered by a desirable 1300cc engine, this example offers enhanced performance over standard specification, complementing its extended chassis layout. The six-wheel configuration not only provides striking visual presence but also improves load distribution and traction, reinforcing the vehicle’s practical and utilitarian appeal. Having been off the road and in storage for approximately 13 years, the vehicle will now require a measure of light recommissioning prior to use. It was running and driving prior to being parked up C2013. As with any long-term stored vehicle, prospective purchasers should expect to undertake routine mechanical checks and sympathetic revival works. Combining period character with bespoke engineering, this Mini Scamp represents a compelling opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Its rare configuration, intriguing history, and evident potential ensure it will appeal to those seeking something both practical and highly individual within the classic vehicle landscape. A seldom-offered and characterful machine, worthy of close inspection. Odometer reading 96596 miles. Offered without reserve and complete with old style V5, amber beacons and CB Radio- this is an incredibly rare vehicle that cannot help to put a smile on the face of both the owner and those that see it.
