Description
Excella 280 Airstream 1979
Imported into the UK from Nevada January 2026, Fully UK Registered with V5C, Coming from a hot dry state the Airstream has no obvious signs of rust / corrosion or damp. Completely original throughout . Purchased in the states from long term ownership. The Airstream is registered with the Airstream Registry and Officially Named Ponderosa. The Airstream has all the original supplied hand books and documents along with 1979 Maintenance manual and Operations manual, supplied from new at the time of Purchase. The Personalised build plate is still on the dashboard. The Genturi air cooled RV Generator Exhaust System has never been used, also with the Airstream are the insulation blinds and the black out external blind kit and original wheel brace. The kitchen still has the chopping / sink boards and the original food blender. Even the pull out cutlery draws are in the cupboard, the three brown stowaway trays are all in place under the seat. 47years old and all this original equipment has remained with the Airstream and both sets of original keys. There has been some upgrades such as roof mounted AC along with cruise Control added and agin all the install and operation manuals are present, the fridge freezer is reasonably new, The Airstream has had an air assistance suspension fitted, that all works and holds air. The Airstream is powered by a 450cubic inch 7. 5ltr Chevy which starts well and ticks over smoothly, see photo showing good oil pressure and temperature at 60mph. I have driven 100miles, the Airstream can be driven away and go off and be used. Would benefit from a dedicated Polish (straight forward to do, we did a patch on the left side). Speedo is showing only 56k miles and was sold to us as genuine mileage, just looking at the seats , little to no wear and again on the steering wheel and pedals, personally wouldn’t doubt. Rare opportunity to own an early Airstream in completely original condition, drive away and use. Cosmetic and fettling improvements to enjoy while being able to use.
