So this is a two door Saab 99 Turbo from 1981. It has been off road (Sometime in 1997 I think) and I want someone who loves these cars to return it to its former glory. This car is a pre SORN so there is no yearly paperwork until it is back on the road.
Good points - New fuel pump, new battery, wax oiled from new (until it went off road), amazing condition alloys, new exhaust, the car looks/ feels solid underneath. Receipt for £846 for a 5 speed gear box (put on just before it went off road). I had it running last year and that’s when I think the water pump went. Rare sunroof and towbar fitted. Gears selected ok and clutch seemed fine, the Turbo sounded great!
Bad points well obviously this has been standing for a long while so it has a few 99T issues: it needs a re-spray as panels have faded. Headlining has come adrift, a hole in scuttle and rust behind the grill. Some electrics not working but this could be fuse or a connection.
This car was described by my mechanic as “Far from a basket case.”
I have tried as to be as honest and accurate as possible.
I want £500 for this car. However I am open to offers.
