The Land Rover 88 Series III is an iconic utility vehicle from the 1970s, engineered for intensive use and the most demanding conditions. Its simple and robust design, conceived for durability and ease of maintenance, makes it today a particularly sought-after model for its authenticity, reliability and timeless character.
The model we are offering was first registered in September 1975. It stands out for its excellent mechanical and chassis condition.
The petrol engine runs very well, starting easily without noise or smoke. The carburettor has been recently replaced, as has the ignition system, delivering particularly sound road behaviour.
The gearbox engages and locks all its ratios correctly, whilst the clutch functions normally. The clutch slave cylinder has been recently replaced.
The braking is effective and balanced.
The metallic brown alloy wheels are in perfect condition, fitted with new Falken Wildpeak M/ T studded tyres, and new wheel nuts have been installed to complete the wheel presentation.
The bodywork presents well, with no notable defects or deformation for a Land Rover, the paintwork displaying an even patina consistent with the vehicle's rugged character.
The chassis is sound and solid, the rear crossmember has been replaced, the suspension components show no excessive play and the chassis has been treated with anti-corrosion paint.
The front seats are in excellent condition, whilst removable rear seats in good condition are present.
The military canvas is of quality and in excellent condition.
