A youngtimer *** over 40 years of history, still in its original specification, *** the classic BMW 2. 0-litre 6-cylinder inline engine producing 120 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Only two owners, the last a genuine BMW enthusiast, who kept it in his own garage, where it sat idle for over six years.
When we went to see it, we decided to buy it and bring it home without even trying to start it.
We loaded it onto a recovery truck and took it straight to the workshop, where we began an extensive programme of maintenance to get it back into a condition fit to return to the road.

One of the things we appreciated most is the condition of the cabin.
The cloth interior is in good order, without tears, and most importantly the dashboard is free of cracks, a detail that is far from guaranteed on a BMW E30 of over 40 years old.
We also carried out a thorough cleaning and treatment of the interior, aiming to preserve as much of the car's originality as possible.

Personally, I consider the E30 one of the finest BMWs ever made.
Rear-wheel drive, a naturally aspirated six-cylinder, a manual gearbox and mechanical steering feel, without all the electronics of modern cars.
You don't need 300 horsepower to have fun in a car like this.
Another appealing aspect is the running costs, which are very reasonable for a classic car of this type, and may also qualify for road tax and insurance concessions, subject to the applicable requirements.
We don't want to present you with a perfect car, but an authentic BMW, *** its history and its over 40 years on the clock.
