Beschreibung
This is a 1963 BSA C15P (Police model) 250cc. Has been updated to 12volt system. Engine overhauled. New speedometer and cable. Tax and M. O. T. until November 2013.
Not mint but in very good order and rides well.
One of 20 issued to Glamorgan Constabulary (Bridgend) on 11th March 1963 as "Area Beat Bikes". Glamorgan Constabulary Museum confirmed that this is exactly as they were used in the 60s with Pye "Westminster" radio at the rear and speaker on the handlebars. They were not fitted with any fairing or leg shields.
Copy of documents showing the issue of the registration numbers of this and the other 19 motorcycles to the Police, and certificate of authenticity from the BSA Owner's Club included. Also included - a black Corker helmet and white cuffed gauntlets similar to those used by the Police at that time.
