Hiding for 40 years in a shed at F. H. Douglas in London
a 1960 built Morgan +4 dhc is in need of total restoration.
The story is that it was crashed in 1968 and left at "Douggies"
place. This rare Morgan dhc is what they call a series III or the
50th Golden Anniversary model.
I have collected a few NOS parts for the restoration:
NOS front cowl (not drilled)
NOS front grill
2 New NOS front steel wings
1 used bumper (might be rear, as there is no starter handle hole)
Lucas NOS headlamp buckets
Lucas NOS headlamp chrome rings
Lucas NOS rear tail lamp assemblies
Lucas NOS F&R side lamp assemblies
Lucas NOS #519 side wing lights
Bonnet latches (New Stainless)
** I have spent over £3, 500.-on parts alone.
If Interested I have contacted 2 speciality Morgan restoration facilities who would be happy to perform the restoration.
(e-mail me for their details.)
Note: the seat air bladders still have air in them.. and I would say the car is 100% complete and not messed with, perfect candidate for a "concours" restoration.
2009 Is the 100 year Centenary for Morgan Motor Company Ltd. and this dhc is the 50th Anniversary Edition car.
This is a very rare car, and worth someone spending time to restore it to it's former glory.
I will deliver anywhere in the UK for time and fuel cost.
Also looking for a 2 speed racing Morgan 3 wheeler 'kit'or complete car for VSCC racing.
