For sale rare 1966 Vauxhall VX 490 Mileage at 60, 321. Believed genuine from old mot certificates and history. Current mot to 29/ 1/ 2014 tax same exempt anyway. She has in fact covered 306 miles since 1994, Subject to a massive mechanical restoration, the engine and all ancillaries have been detailed engine out bay resprayed every part of the front and rear suspension has been rebuilt including the propshaft. Almost every nut bolt and washer is new new brakepipes pads etc. If not replaced with new most parts have been removed blasted cleaned re enammled painted or plated. Bodywork is very clean NO rust or rot anywhere. No dents dings or scrapes. NEW sills were fitted and while repainted are not 100% perfect. Underneath she genuinely looks as new no leaks. chromework is excellent not mint but again unmarked with superb patina for 47 years old. She passed its first mot for 13 years this year with NO advisories! A documented 3 owners from NEW till this year. ALL doors locks gauges oil amps coolent speedo work as they should. The 3rd owner kept her in DRY storage from 1996 till this year. I also keep her garaged pampered and polished. All the restoration was carried out by the previous owner I should say while no evidence is available for the restoration one look listen drive should reveal the extensive work carried out. Front and rear seats have been restored to as new no sags. Paintwork appears to be the original storm grey with original carpets and clean interior. She still needs minor details such as carpet the black pinstripe Go faster stripes and there is a little whine in 2nd gear though this does not affect the driveability. Clutch is perfect and all gears select cleanly and smoothly.
