A lovely old Greeves 250 trials bike sympathetically restored, it was done to ride and not to look newer than it did in the showroom. The engine and gearbox have been rebuilt with all necessary bearings, seals, gaskets and shims. The ignition is Electrex and is brilliant ( it has the heavier flywheel) and gives superb starting. The fuel system is ethanol proofed with a new tap and all new parts in the carb. The fuel tank is the original and is sound and clean inside better than the outside in fact, but I like the battle scars myself it tells a story. The gear box has new trials ratio's including the lower second gear. Generally this bike is sorted, a new kick start which misses the footrest I fitted taper bearings to the steering head as the originals where clapped out, but if you wanted to put it back to standard it would be very easy, I haven't altered anything on the bike so that it can't be put back if the new owner wants. The barrel is plus 20 the carb is a 376 monobloc simply because it came to me that way and it works. It is registered with a nice age related number and was MOT'd, this has expired but would not be a problem.

If I was being picky I would say the rear tyre could be better but only if you are competing, the chain guard isn't standard it needs a speedo cable and the seat is a bit of a lash up as the normal type fitted is a bit high for trials. If you are six foot you will be ok though. A proper seat comes with it and is fine for trail riding. As I said it was built to ride but I find it more and more difficult to make time these days so I have decided to sell. Who ever buys this will enjoy it a lot I am sure. Bike comes with a dating letter from the Greeves riders association, a handbook and a stack of GRA club mags. V5 and first MOT.
