Description
A very rare sight on UK roads, this is a 1960 car in very good condition. Cream over yellow, it draws admiring comments wherever I go in it. People like the cool retro styling. I do too....
Of course the quirky three cylinder two-stroke engine generates plenty of discussion. Driving it is fun, too, as it has a (switchable) free-wheel system as did the SAABs of the time.
This is an ex-South African car. It has survived rather well having lived in the dry Highveld air. Although somewhat short of concours condition, I have won several awards at shows.
The car has had some remedial work done, but is in original condition as far as I know. I have replaced brake shoes and some window rubbers, and refurbished the wheels.
Mechanically it is spot-on and I wouldn't hesitate driving anywhere in it.
There is so much more to say about this car. The ladies love it!
Unfortunately I am losing the garage where I store the Deek. I can't think of leaving it outside in all weathers, so maybe it is time to pass it on to it's next custodian.
Please contact me (Rob) for further info.
