This exceptional low mileage MX5 (NOW 21500) has only been used as a “hobby car” by three mature drivers and garaged all its’ life. The first owner driving some 6000 miles in 3 years and the second only some 3000 in 3 years, due to ill health. In my ownership, since March 2009 it has covered some 12500 miles mostly on motoring club runs etc and played “second fiddle” to other cars.
This is the special edition "Phoenix" based on a standard model MX-5 and only 1200 units were available from March 2002
Titanium Grey Mica Paint finish. The interior features heated seats trimmed in sienna brown leather. Along with the usual desirable extras fiited to special editions
In May 2009, shortly after I purchased the car, the Mazda 15" Enkie alloy wheels (well known for their poor finish and lifespan) were replaced with a set of AEZ Xylo 6. 5x15” finished in High Gloss- Shadow Chrome and new McGard Locking Nuts. Fitted with Bridgestone ER 300’s (the original tyres had begun to perish due to lack of use) all at a cost of £522. The cam shaft timing belt etc was replaced in March 2010. with the mileage at 11500. Recent full service, new Panasonic Battery and professional machine polish of paint work; this car has been cherished!
Lots of paper work to support history and even the original “paper inspection stickers” still on the car! Practically a brand new car for offers above £4k
A reluctant sale me thinks _ I'm sure we will miss it but needs must as they say.
