With its sleek coupe lines the Stiletto is considered to be the most desirable of the Imp based models. The Stiletto specification includes: 875cc sports engine, twin carbs, servo assisted brakes and rev counter. In addition this car has original optional extras including reversing lights (not automatic) and lockable engine compartment.
My Stiletto has been used and serviced regularly (lots of receipts and related paperwork) and has always been garaged since I bought her in 2010. This has helped retain her good bodywork and chrome with only minor blemishes visible (a replacement driver’s side sill was fitted in 2012). Carpets and leather covered steering wheel are in very good condition, having been replaced / recovered in 2011, and she has 5 good radial tyres with 4 original stainless steel wheel trims.
New this year: clutch, rear gear linkage, 2 X Rotoflex couplings, stainless steel exhaust, re-upholstered seats retaining most of original ‘Amblair’ pattern, and new, but discreet, electric screen washer and chrome battery clock.
She is fun to drive (good performance and handling for its size and era that easily keeps up with modern traffic), reliable and comes with 1 year’s MOT (from March 2016). Workshop, owner’s and Haynes manuals will be included with the car.
I have had much pleasure from owning my Stiletto but now it is time to pass her on to a new custodian whom I hope will have as much enjoyment from keeping her as I have had.
