It is a US Import, manufactured 1st October 1968 and it left the factory on the 4th where it headed across to Columbus, Ohio.
This ghia is finished in L90C toga white with red hood and red interior.
The car was imported into the UK in 2005 and has been kept in dry storage and used only in dry weather.
The Ghia was restored to a high standard by Mick's VW garage in North Carolina.
There is a number of receipts for work carried out on the restoration.
The hood was replaced as was the interior which has been retrimmed to a very high standard in a contrasting red.
The engine is the stock 1500cc unit which I turn over once every 2-3 weeks just to keep her in check, and she starts first time every time!
She has been fitted with a puma adjustable lowered front beam and a set of NOS Mahle 'baby burner' rims. The I purchased last year from VZi. I do have the original steels to go with the car if the new owner wanted to do a deal without the Porsche alloys.
The Ghia is obviously tax exempt and will be sold with 12 months MOT. Will also tax the vehicle as well prior to going if needed.
The paintwork is 99. 9% blemish free, with just a small tiny bubble on the edge of the bonnet and a stone chip on the n/ s front wing. If I didn't point them out to you, you probably wouldn't even notice, I'm just very fussy about my cars!!
The car is available for viewing Mon-Fri during office hours (nr. Jcn 3, M54, Shropshire)

The Mahles are shod with new Michelin XZX tyres which have done about 100 miles in total.
Comes with owners handbook. This Ghia was also awarded best Karmann Ghia Convertible by the KGOC, at the KGOC annual meeting in 2007.
