This is our own car. Its a Lexus SC430 and is a fantastic vehicle to drive and surprisingly economical considering the engine size. It starts, stops, drives and handles perfectly and is fully loaded with all the usual Lexus luxury extras. It has covered 120, 000 miles, and there is some history with the car. The private plate will be sold with the car. At present in our hands the car is covering 100 miles a day, so the mileage will rise. It is offered with a 3 month warranty.
At its launch, the Lexus SC 430 was marketed as the "jewel of Lexus", and as the marque's first convertible, was intended as a more ostentatious addition to the Lexus big saloon range. It stood out as the only convertible that electrically stowed the hardtop into the boot. This meant there was no requirement for a soft top on the SC430 roadster.
The engine is a variable valve timing 4. 3 litre V8 and is a masterpiece. As well as producing nearly 290bhp, the car will return 29-30mpg on a run. It is ultra-smooth, quiet and has plenty of performance if required. Equally it is quite happy driving through town. The handling is excellent and the brakes and steering are superbly positive. This Lexus convertible has air-con, folding hardtop, upgraded CD/ radio, electric and heated leather seats in the front. The auto box has a Power mode and there are numerous storage compartments within the car. There are 2 rear seats, but are for very small children only. The steering is very light and easy to use, and makes parking simple bu using rear parking sensors. The front headlights have washers and the car features unique Lexus alloy wheels.
The all round condition of this SC430 roadster is good for a 16 year old car, and there are no rust issues anywhere. There is a small scuff on the nearside front wheelarch, but this doesn't take away from a thoroughly enjoyable and fast cruiser. This Lexus SC430 rides well for a sports convertible and we recommend you come and give it a try!
