ASTON MARTIN V8 VANTAGE VOLANTE REPLICA
BASED ON A FORD CAPRI 3. 0 V6 Ghia Auto
Professionally built car using a DMS Bullet kit. This was based around the USA version on the car with large bumpers
These are extremely rare and this is probably the best example ever built
Just passed a years MOT with no advises
These are fantastically rare, this one being built in 1984 on a 1978 Capri Mk 2 Ghia
Next year will be classed as an HISTORIC vehicle with no road tax to pay
It drives well with the auto box changing up perfectly and smoothly
I once saw one of these being made and was shocked at the size of the RSJ style reinforcing that is added to the original chassis before the roof is removed. It ran the length of the car and was massive but hidden away. Impressive.
Specification
Correctly registered as a 3. 0 and a convertible, private number plate, Automatic transmission, power steering, JVC CD head unit with USB and MP3, 6 speaker sound system, tubular exhaust manifolds, wood veneer dashboard (all gauges work), wood rimmed steering wheel, electric window conversion, remote adjustable drivers mirror, battery cut off switch, front spotlights, K&N airfilter on a twin choke webber.
Exterior
Was a great paintjob but starting to show signs or wear and tear, not perfect but very presentable. Colour is Maritime Blue. Comes with touch up paint.
Interior
When it was built in 1984 it had a custom cream leather interior made. This has contrasting blue piping also. This still looks great but could do with a deep clean. The drivers seat has a small split but easy repair
Wheels
These are 7 x 15 Galaxy chrome wire wheels from the USA with new tyres. Three eared spinners and Aston wheel badges. I had the rubber air valves changed for metal ones also
Roof
This is a good quality Mohair blue hood. Its not a great frame setup and is a bit fiddly to put up and down but does the job. At sometime in its life it was punctured with a knife but has been repaired and is water tight.

The car is far from perfect with some small annoying jobs needed doing but due to work commitments I never get time
Fully badged as a Vantage V8
This is a classic car in its own right and has aged accordingly with the patina of those years which cannot be faked properly. With the real cars now fetching a quarter of a million pounds, this is a great way to experience the looks, adoration of neighbours/ public and the summer. Not the fastest sports car but does the job
Its difficult to put a price on this car as its so rare, however considering a Ford Capri 3. 0 now is fetching £10000 to £18000, a convertible double that and added to the cost the original work and kit, paint, wheels, interior etc this is a bargain
Classic replicas are the fastest appreciating asset at the moment because ordinary folk cannot afford the outrageous price and restoration costs of Classic cars. I read an article recently in one of the classic car mags that Classic replicas have increased in value by 395% since 2015!!
So you can enjoy the car and probably sell for more when the time come to sell on. There will never be anymore being built and only a finite number available.
IT DOES LOOK CONSIDERABLY BETTER THAN IT DOES IN THE FLESH DUE TO MY WIFES PHOTO TAKING SKILLS. However its certainly not shabby but is an old car after all.
I could arrange delivery in the UK but would need cleared funds first. Would suggest you view before this.
