My partner and I are nearing completion of an overland motorcycle ride from Australia to Europe and will soon need to part with our beloved Honda CT110s.
Both bikes have Australian plates and registration documents.
Bike 1 is a 2008 CT110 with just under 80, 000km on the clock.
It is a 4 speed semi auto with original parts aside from the following:
Handlebars replaced with multi-adjustable bars.
Front and rear indicators replaced (Enfield at the front).
Hot grips added.
Tires replaced.
Rear sprocket replaced.
Custom paint.
Side stand has a larger footing welded on.
Rear exhaust bracket needs welding.
LED fog lights installed.
Bike 2 is a 1986 CT110 with a Zongshen 140cc 4-speed manual engine.
Engine has done 35, 000km, total bike kms unknown.
Engine has had stator replaced.
Running aftermarket carb and air filter (original airbox is still in place but converted to a tool box.)
Seat has been replaced with a longer home-made fibreglass seat.
Small piece of frame plastics has been cut to accommodate carb.
Multi-adjustable handlebars installed.
Hot grips.
Aftermarket exhaust.
Aftermarket rubber mounted indicators.
12v charging port
LED fog lights.
Electrical system converted to 12v.
Speedometer not working.
Kill switch missing.
Both bikes have custom made pannier racks installed (believe these were made by Australia Post)and lockable ammunition canisters on the back (fit a 15 inch laptop nicely). Both bikes have front racks, engine guards and crash bars. Racks and guards may require some welding/ straightening. Both bikes run well but will need rings done shortly. Electrical work will need to be done to ensure all lights etc function properly.
Bike 2 has new engine number listed on registration document but capacity is still listed as 110cc.
These bikes are well traveled but have served us admirably over the past 20 months traveling through some rather inhospitable environments. We would love to take them back with us but shipping is unaffordable - we hope instead they'll go to a good home.
