Beschreibung
Triton 500cc from 1959. It was completely dismantled and very little left for completion.
This model has a engine from a Tiger T100 500cc (1956) and the Featherbed frame is for middle of 50s (the bike was built in 1959). Are more frequent the Tritons from the 60s, with Bonneville engines (650 and 750cc), but there are very few Triton from the 50s.
The engine is fully overhauled by a Triumph specialist (new joints, segments, valves, threads, etc.). The frame is just painted. The magneto is completely rebuilt by a magneto specialist. All the parts were painted, polished or chromed. Screws, washers and gaskets were also checked. Exhaust system are in perfect condition (the sound of this bike is amazing). The seat was again upholstered. The bellows of the fork are new. Sirgas and cables are new too. The rubbers of the levers and footrest are also new. New tyres. New rear shock absorbers, etc.
It has sports brake with double cam, Smiths speedometer (chronometric), Akront sport wheels, very good front fork. The adapter plates of the engine in the frame are official (made in the 50s), not made at home..
I have the original English documentation, with license plate. Also have other documents like certificates of authenticity, ITV documents, etc.
What remains to be done
Buy a new carburetor.
Make the electrical installation (I bought it new and will give to the new owner).
Buy a rear headlight.
Paint the two tanks (petrol and oil). The petrol tank is made in allu, very special and big.
Pour liquids and make final adjustments.
