Designed by Pininfarina S. p. A. as its replacement for the outgoing Ferrari 355, the 360 was delivered in several variants, during its six years in production. Ferrari S. p. A records suggest that approximate delivery to global markets was –

For the 360 Modena; Ferrari partnered with Alcoa Industries to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space-frame chassis, that was 40% stiffer and 28% lighter, than the previous tipo. The new V8 engine, common to all versions, had a 3, 586cc capacity, with a flat-plane crankshaft and titanium connecting rods, producing 400bhp in road-specification and 0-62 mph acceleration, improved from 4. 6 to 4. 3 seconds over the F355.
