1965 Rover P5 3 Litre Saloon Series 2. New Rover White with Red leather upholstery. This lovely 1965 MkII was exported as a new car to New Zealand fitted with the desirable Hydrosteer power steering and manual gearbox with overdrive. It was first registered on 10th November 1965, a large correspondence file listing details of its three owners from new. They all cherished the car, letters and bills on file showing that by 2000 it had covered 81, 000 miles, a figure which had increased to 103, 600miles by 2007. The odometer now reads 117, 960 miles, a figure which can be substantiated as correct. The original service book is present (although it remains unstamped) along with the original handbook and full toolkit (less pliers) which even has the original touch-up stick. The ashtray is unused and the interior in general is in lovely original condition. According to the file, it was given a re-paint in 2002, the kind New Zealand climate having looked after the chrome which remains bright and clean. It has also been fitted with a handy tow bar. These large and imposing Rovers still look excellent value, this fine example, with its comprehensive history and life spent in the sun is well worth close inspection. We think this is a car that any collector or enthusiast would be pleased to own. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted.
