• Front wheel drive

A rare survivor of what is believed to have been a World War 2 airfield protection ‘fighting’ vehicle. In a poor state and overpainted when found, traces of khaki, military markings and radio wiring discovered during extensive restoration, the vehicle is now reverted back to her suspected wartime role.
The BSA is comprehensively restored with supporting photographic history and offered in full working order. Front wheel drive, rebuilt engine, gearbox and differential, brakes, suspension and drive shafts. New tyres, upholstery and restored timberwork frame. New floor and cross rails. Side mounted MkIII . 303 calibre Bren Gun (with deactivation certificate)
Following the evacuation of Dunkerque in June 1940 an invasion seemed imminent and with most military vehicles abandoned in France, mobile defensive units had to be created quickly from whatever was on hand. BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) was one of several companies whose vehicles were put into active service.
Less than 400 BSA ‘TW’ 4 cylinder models are thought to survive.
A very rare and unusual car – with significant historic interest.
