For sale is my 1972 2. 5l petrol coach built Austin morris ambulance
A unique opportunity to purchase an incredibly rare piece of British automotive history! You will not find another one for sale.
The ambulance was originally used in Huntingdon UK
it is a very solid example of an extremely rare vehicle and it's perfect for restoration and/ or a camper conversion/ food wagon etc...
I originally purchased the ambulance to convert into a quirky camper but since then other projects have meant that I've been unable to do it and now the time has come to pass it on to someone else who will give it the love it requires.
The ambulance is a coach built fibreglass body on a leyland ea chassis and drivetrain. It has a c-section chassis which is in need of no welding whatsoever, the front inner arches however could do with being repaired as they are rotten and have holes in them. The engine turns over freely but I have not had it running, I don't think it would be much of a hardship to get it running but i haven't had the time to even attempt it! The brakes are not seized on but no doubt they will be in need of some work! it will also come with the two original stretcher beds which have individual seatbelts and armrests meaning you could use it an 8 seater bus. could probably do with most of the wiring looked at as it's been sat for many years but there's nothing too complicated about any of the wiring. As it is based on a leyland ea most of the spares for the chassis and drivetain are obtainable!
Ideal project for somebody who has the time and space to complete the build.
