This here is a little piece of vw golf history, where it all began and where they all came from.. an October 1974 built Senegal red 1. 1 golf L in 3 door.
This car was imported from Sweden last year by FBI who I got it off, I've since done the following to it.
Had welding completed to any rusty areas, mostly front end inner wings.
Got it Mot'd and UK registered. Mot'd until Feb 18 tax exempt.
Had it notched and arches chopped and rolled
Coilovers Vmaxx I think with Coltech raised mounts
Rebuilt carb and full overhaul of the ignition system with elec ignition
Full service.... Twice now
New radiator
Custom gearbox mount for clearance
Other bits and bobs that I can into with any interested parties
106k Km's but the odometer has stopped rolling. :/
It's mostly original bar the front wings which are original vag replacement parts. I have 5 original steels and the original suspension.
But please note, this is unrestored, bumps knocks grazes and all, I just rattled canned in the rust repairs. I'm very much a man that likes to get them driving, then just use them. This is ready for someone to enjoy as is, or completely restore to put your mark on it.
It won't go on the 16" wheels pictured but some 13" steels with good tyres and also it's original 5 steels with shot tyres.
I believe this is a sound investment for someone.
