2008. Morgan 4/ 4 Competition.
This is a very special 4/ 4. Originally owned by one of Morgan Motor Company Directors it was one of the first Competition development cars prior to the launch of the model. Taking a humble 4/ 4 1600cc and adding a throttle body kit, Omex ECU, sports exhaust, sports air filter, panhard rod, adjustable shocks, safety roll bar, battery cut off switch, fire extinguisher on Avon classic performance tyres and you have yourself a 150BHP fun, fast road car or a Morgan Challenge racer. Drive to the event, race – drive home.
The 4/ 4 competition model was hugely popular with drivers who love the light nibble handling but wanted more power than the standard car.
This particular car has gone several steps further having had the engine professionally tuned, balanced and blue printed which now produces 175 BHP. To handle the additional power a competition clutch has been fitted together with upratedali radiator, adjustable dampers and brakes.
She has been recently and very successfully been used for competitive hill climb events but remains fully road usable, easy to drive with a full leather interior and weather equipment making a genuine dual purpose road or race car.
The car has been very well maintained both mechanically and cosmetically and represents great value being offered at a fraction of her build cost.
