Built in limited production of 204 units sold to the public. The cars were built for homologation purposes to race in South Africa in the mid 80's. The car were ultimately the E30 M3 for South Africa as they 4 cylinder overseas version was not available in South Africa. These rare models are now incredibly sought after the world over as so few original examples survive. They are the least produced production of any limited edition e30 produced. These cars use the 3. 3L six cylinder motor similar to that used in the large 7 series at the time, added with some nice Alpina accessories. These car were produced entirely by BMW S. A.
