Here for sale is a 2 litre petrol-driven 1992 VW Transporter T4 panel van in very original and good condition for it's age. The MOT runs until March 2018. Sound bodywork needing minor attention. Low mileage at 90291. MOT til early March 2018. The original paintwork is dull, there is a weld repair on the right hand front wing and a crease on driver's side rear panel. The loading floor is in very good condition and there is a half bulkhead behind the cabin. The driver's seat outer edge is worn and the van is currently a non-runner. The engine fires but does not sustain running. The engine shows good compression. On the body there are some marks and scratches. Early corrosion is evident on rear right-hand wing and on the inner rear wheel arches. I emphasise this is a generally unmolested body. New exhaust and rear coil springs.
This is a well-looked after van which has been used very little in the last ten years but has been started regularly. Stored outside but off-road. There are no known problems with gearbox and drive-train. Many details are working properly - all the door locks, catches and restraints are present and all five doors, including the sliding side door, work smoothly.
The body has never been re-painted. There is a proper repair with seam welding on the driver's side front wheel arch.
The cabin mat and the van's floor show only light use.
V5 is present and there may be a history file of some sort once it can be located.
This is an excellent vehicle to convert to camper or day-van or it could be a full restoration project back to a handy panel van.
