”Katy ” as shes affectionately know was first registered on May 1st 1968, Katy has spent all her life, until May this year, with two generations of the same family, that’s 49 years.
Katy has covered only 54, 000 miles in that time and has obviously been well cared for. Her condition inside and out is remarkable, she has had some cosmetic attention , a re-spray 15 years ago but she is definitely not showing her age.
Katy still has her original set of BMC-issued keys which fit the ignition, doors and boot and also supplied is the original dealer document wallet, complete with BMC ‘Passport to Service’ records, three logbooks, tax discs, invoices and 31 old MOTs dating back to 1983.
Even more unusual is the presence of the original factory stamped VIN number still clearly visible in the driver’s side floor pan. Katy does have the occasional blemish (she is 49 you know) but is all original. She comes with a very sweet note from original owner to tell the future owner a little more about her.
Has an MOT until January 2018, the only advisory being ‘n/ s/ f indicator affected by the operation of another lamp.
You may look for a prettier, more original, lower mileage Morris Minor 1000 but will you find one? We doubt it…
