This great beast has undergone a staggering £33000 body restoration I know this seems hard to believe but it has been undertaken by some great enthusiasts with no expense spared we have also replaced the Head gasket and new valves it truly is a work of art. this vehicle comes with a lot of history including manuals etc.
The Engine is a 300CI 5 Litre Straight Six with a 4 speen Manual Gearbox it also has 4 wheel drive fuction which works great.
Please be sure to let me know if any of this information is incorrect but over 5000 of the Bedford RL Range were made in green but when the riots in Northern Ireland were underway 56 or 57 were converted to riot vehicles with Window guards and windshield protection which comes complete with this vehicle. these vehicles were painted yellow so that not only were they not mistaken for army vehicles but also yellow is a neutral colour for both the UK and Northern Ireland.
it starts on the button and drives great. in the rear of this vehicle every compartment is full with smaller hose reels x 2 and lots of extra larger hoses for suction and squirting the water. below is a list of just some of the equipment included.
