Vw Corrado g60 1993
I bought this car with several faults and have spent time and money in getting her back into great shape. A solid car which was recently resprayed in original silver before I purchased it, 123000 miles. 11 months mot. Located in Edinburgh EH6. If you are looking for a g60 in great original condition, this could be the one. Another car has come up which I have wanted for some time so this now needs to go to a new home.
Bodywork. Pewter grey (silver). In vg condition with two areas of note. The sunroof tilts and slides but it is catching the interior mechanism and has scraped the paint. I have left this for the next owner to address as they see fit. Also, small scab of rust on sill area by passenger rear arch, which again I decided to leave for the next owner, these two jobs should really be done at the same time. Paintwork is bright and fresh, solid underneath, all trim in vg condition and has been restained with back to black. New g60 steel wheels with Kumho tyres fitted, these have had around 1000 miles use since new.
Mechanics. Sensible mileage of 123000. Lots of work carried out on it of late including a full rebuild of the supercharger at Jabbasport with certificate. Other work I have carried out is, replaced all abs sensors, new timing belt fitted, fixed central locking and electric window fault, full de carbon clean of engine. The heater matrix, which was replaced by previous owner, was blowing hot air when I bought it as 2 clips had not been replaced at time of fitting so this is now sorted. New brake caliper fitted and new suspension strut for mot. The rear spoiler which automatically extends at 45mph works.
Interior, fully valeted which made a huge difference including a clean of the head lining. Cloth interior in dark grey/ green. There was some bolster wear which I have carried out a repair on and it now does not catch the eye.
All in all a great g60, solid and with great mechanics. The faults mentioned have been considered in the pricing. It is near mint but I am not asking a mint example price. Please no offers before viewing.
