This is quite a rare car, as there are believed to be only about 14 or 15 Post-War 14's on the road, according to Club records. Has original registration plate, V5C, and also owners handbook, owners manual and some history.
I bought this car nearly a year ago as a planned retirement project, but I have since gone back to work and have no time to complete the restoration.
The engine has been completely overhauled with the crankshaft reground, new pistons and rings, new valve guides and full re-bore. It has been bench tested, and turns freely with the starting handle.
The bodywork is in fairly good condition overall - I have done the bottoms of the doors on the drivers side - the same needs doing on the near side. Hence the offside is mainly in primer, and the car will need a re-spray eventually. (Was originally in an attractive Black/ Maroon).
All the lights work, including the semaphore indicators and interior light. The parts that were missing when I bought the car have been obtained from the very helpful Standard Motor Club Spares, and the only known parts missing are a speedometer cable and a dip switch, which are easily obtainable.
I have given the original leather seats a hide food treatment, and the seats/ door panels are generally in fairly good condition, with just the odd minor stitching required. The carpets sections are OK but a bit grubby - I have some new carpet and edging which will go with the car.
The headlining is still intact, but has sagged a bit, but could easily be repaired or replaced. The original rear window blind is still in position - these are very rare now. There is even a working front opening windscreen.
The boot has been filled in by a previous owner for some reason, but I have obtained a new boot panel to put the car back to its original state - still has 'Stanpart' on the label.
