Offered for sale at Roman Garages is this fine 1972 Triumph TR6 with the 150bhp 2500cc engine. This is mated to 4 speed manual gearbox with overdrive. With the last owner for 7 years this car benefits from a fully rebuilt engine with invoices in 2018, including rebore, crank reground, new pistons, shells and the cylinder head converted to unleaded as well as a new clutch.
The engine on this TR6 is the more powerful 150bhp version. The fuel injection system has been upgraded with a new pump and breathes through three K & N type filters. We also fitted a new cooling fan to keep the engine cool.
The gearbox is a manual overdrive and the car drives smoothly through the gears including the overdrive on 3rd and 4th.
The black seats and carpets are all in good condition for the year and the TR has a walnut dashboard in keeping with the other models in the Triumph range.
The sunflower yellow paintwork is very neat and tidy all round for the year. The soft top is in good condition, and the car is set off with a really nice set of alloy wheels in the Minilite style. Panel fit is good and all badging is present and correct.
It comes with a file of invoices for work done over the years. It is one of the nicer TR6s we have seen.
