LOTUS ELAN SE FIXED HEAD COUPE. S4 1969
Correctly registered as a Historic Vehicle.
All documentation present this includes photographic history of work carried out over the years and numerous invoices and MOT certificates.
Excellent condition and in great running order. Drives and handles as it should. 1600 Twin cam, Twin Webers.
The Elan has had a replacement Lotus galvanised Chassis, painted black. Engine fully rebuilt and photographed by QED.
Body off full respray in Red. The body is in very good order and looks striking.
The Elan has electric windows, aluminium fuel tank, radiator, electric fan, powerlite alternator conversion, powerlite new hi-torque starter motor just fitted. new battery and cut off switch. LED headlamp conversion by PNM. Good wheels, knock off hubs and almost new expensive but desirable Dunlop SP Aquajet 155/ 13 radial tyres, including spare.
Solid drive shafts fitted, new front poly torsion bar bushes.
New points, coil and condenser recently fitted, new wipers and more.
The interior is in good condition, excellent wooden dash and instruments. Colin Chapman leather steering wheel. Seats and carpets, headliner etc are in good order but minor splits in drivers seat.
This is a proper and iconic 54 year Lotus Elan. It is not a trailer queen.
