I am the 8th owner. Bought in May 2019 from a private seller in Yorkshire. Tax Exempt. MOT Exempt - but does have MOT history going back to 2006. Service history through Garage Receipts. New Battery in 2019. ORIGINAL Motorola LW/ MW radio (so does not work). In excellent condition. Power Assisted Steering. Underwent a complete engine and gearbox rebuild in 2020. Re-bored, crankshaft re-ground, new pistons & rings, big ends and small ends, cylinder heads completely rebuilt, new valves, springs, followers, high volume oil pump. New water pump. This is a brand new engine! The gearbox has been completely stripped and rebuilt with all new parts. New reverse gear. New clutch, new slave and master cylinders. Carburettors have been completely stripped and rebuilt. It has electronic ignition and external electric fuel pump. It has had new brakes, discs, pads and calipers. Power steering pump has been stripped and rebuilt. All new hoses and clips. This is a matching numbers car. It has wanted for nothing. Check the MOT history which is excellent.
Prior to my owning it, it has had a respray. The bodywork is in excellent condition. No rattles or squeaks or knocks. The interior is in excellent condition, save for the drivers bolster - has small wear (see photo), but is an easy repair. Headlining is excellent as shown in the photos. Continental Touring Kit (Boot mounted spare). Comes with toolkit and jack. The only job left to do is to recalibrate the rev counter - which I have a kit for and - if time permits - will do before selling (or sell with the kit). I have had this car for 4 years and haven't put 1000 miles on the clock. I drove it back from Yorkshire and have driven all over Norfolk. This is a car you can get in and drive anywhere.
It is extremely comfortable, keeps up with modern day traffic, and sounds beautiful! Better than any radio station! A wonderful example of a classic car. Reluctant sale, (I have lost my inside storage) so time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Comes with car cover. Quite simply, an excellent car.
