Recently completed full restoration (over the last 3 years), V8 conversion using Landrover P38 engine with fuel injection by aftermarket ECU producing 200BHP, mild cam produces good pulling from low revs.
5 speed T5 gearbox from a TVR (very strong)
Restoration included bare metal respray in Damask Red
Modifications include:-
RV8 bonnet with vents
Neg camber front suspension
Telescopic shockers all round
New front springs
New Barabolic rear springs
New ATB limited slip differential
V8 crow wheel and pinion
RV8 front brakes with vented discs and 4 pot callipers
Panhard rod to rear axle
Anti tramp bars
Electric windows
Bonnet and tailgate struts
MX5 seats
3/ 4 inch front anti roll bar
Uprated heater and (larger) 2 speed fan
Stereo with reversing camera
Hi torque starter motor
New carpets with sound deadening insulationThe sound of the V8 is hypnotic but not over load, the car is very stable at high speed and the suspension is comfortable though the shockers can be stiffened up if you want it that way, the MX5 seats are very comfy and hold you well in the corners. The electric windows are great and well worth doing.
In short this is a modern car in a classic body that always gets attention wherever it goes.
