True survivor Citroen BX GTI 8V, 51000 miles with stacks of paperwork from new, completely rust free everywhere, never welded, and from what I can tell, original paintwork also. Drives superb. Stunning interior, like a three year old car, absolutely everything operates as if should, with the exception of the clock which some of the pixels have failed.
A fortune has been spent by myself over the last few months making this car as good as it is today, some of this includes;
new valeo clutch, gear oil, and oil seals fitted,
reconditioned diverter valve fitted from Chevronics,
"Y" piece replaced for rear return hydraulic pipes,
new Bosch battery,
new exhaust from the cat back,
new radiator cap, thermostat and thermostatic switch,
oil and filter, plugs, leads, rotor arm and distributor cap, air and fuel filter,
fresh LHM fluid,
coolant flush.
This BX is now completely leak free of any fluid, drives like a dream, and is in fantastic time warp condition.
I have searched to find a set of correct wheels for the car, but have been unsuccessful at present. If you study the bodywork closely, you will find some very small imperfections, 32 years old and original though, but it has been described as "absolutely mint", and "immaculate" by numerous people who have seen it since being in my ownership.
I'm sure you will struggle to find another BX GTI in such original and excellent condition.
