Description
1924 LANCIA LAMBDA 2nd Series
Rare 2nd Series Lancia Lambda short chassis tourer.
Sold new in Australia and found by me there in 2024.
It had been meticulously restored recently and then barely used due to the owner's subsequent health problems.
Returned to its hometown, Turin, after exactly 100 years of absence, the car presents itself very well.
A faithful workshop — they restored and cared for several Lambdas — here in Turin has recommissioned it to efficient and reliable condition.
A closer examination revealed significant and excellent information. This car not only belongs to the 2nd Series, of which surviving examples are now rather rare, but all numbers are matching: engine, chassis, gearbox (the original three-speed).
The stunning bright light green color turned out to be the one with which the car left the Lancia factory in 1924, and it is one of the most beautiful shades in the color palette available for this model, a color that perfectly matched the avant-garde spirit that characterized the entire Lambda project and the euphoric times of the mid-1920s.
1000 Miglia eligible, 1000 Miglia Registro applied.
