Description
Austin Healey 3000 Mk1 BT7 from 1959.
This car has quite an incredible history. Bought new by a major in the French Naval Aviation in 1959, it then followed him on his missions in 1964 and spent a large part of its life in the Philippines in the hands of the same owner until 1995!
Original old documents are present, such as export documents from the USA to the Philippines in 1964, photos in the Philippines and export documents from the Philippines to the Netherlands in 1995!
She was then bought by a Dutch collector in 1995, before returning to Europe and undergoing a complete restoration, from the bare hull to the mechanicals and ground connections, which was completed in 1999.
The entire restoration is documented in a thick binder, with all the invoices for the work and numerous photos. The car has been used regularly since then, covering more than 30, 000 miles without the slightest problem: - complete bodywork stripped and rebuilt - complete engine rebuilt - brakes and suspension rebuilt - stainless steel exhaust system - new wire wheels from the restoration - Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres - regular maintenance invoices and invoices for all parts since 1995 (a large binder!) - recent expert's report The car has a roll bar, soft top (black) and side screens (new condition). The genuine leather seats now have a slight patina and are very soft. Note that the rear deck has been closed and carpeted to accommodate the roll bar, making it a 2-seater.
