Porsche 911 Speedster étroit LHD - 1/ 161 Serial number: WPOZZZ91ZKSthe details below km - 2nd hand - Same owner for 30 years See videos: - details above - details above An iconic model among the most sought-after air-cooled Porsche 911s, only 2103 examples of the 1989 Speedster were produced, of which 1942 were configured in the wide body known as the "Turbo Look", and only a tiny selection of 161 examples (including 10 RHDs for the Australian market) in the narrow version. This narrow type 91132R Speedster is one of these extremely rare examples. The styling is reminiscent of the Speedster 356, with its low, shortened windscreen, side windows and soft-top cover with a double hump behind the front seats.
The car's matching numbers, engine identification number and gearbox are as originally fitted. Finished in silver metallic (code S7), with black leather interior, this iconic example was imported by Sonauto France and configured for the French market (C05) with a 3. 2-litre uncatalysed 930/ 20 engine mated to a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. It was sold new by the Strasbourg Porsche dealership, registered for the first time in France in 1992 and had only 2 owners including the current owner who bought it in 1995. In addition to its standard equipment, this Speedster was ordered with various factory options detailed below. Meticulously maintained by the same owner and the best Porsche specialists over the last 27 years, it has only clocked up 23500 km.
The car is in near new condition, with no accident damage, no oxidation and no corrosion whatsoever. The seals, safety glass and factory body welds are all in their original condition, with the original factory-applied anti-corrosion wax (rare for a 30-year-old vehicle) and all the production labels affixed to the bodywork.
The car is fitted with an alarm, a very high quality Pioneer Hi Fi audio system including a Philips CD player, a 75W amplifier hidden under the passenger footrest, a pair of tweeters under the dashboard and premium speakers mounted in the original locations. The traditional Porsche instrument panel includes a central tachometer flanked by a 260kph speedometer correctly dated 6/ 89, an analogue clock and auxiliary oil, fuel and temperature gauges, while the 231bhp 3. 2-litre air-cooled Flat 6 engine features Bosh fuel injection.
As the narrow Speedster does not have the same suspension geometry as its Turbo-Look counterparts, it weighs 80kg less on the scales, while offering better handling and a more enjoyable ride.
The car will be delivered with tool kit, all original manuals including the Speedster Carrera supplement in French, up to date service book, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity (COA), two sets of keys, two breakdown keys, three wheel lock keys, two alarm remotes, original key card, aerial key.
