In the world of fine classic vehicles, the Austin Healey 3000 is a household name. This British open sports car was produced from 1959 to 1967 by the British Motor Corporation. This elegant open sports car was produced in various versions, including this magnificent Austin Healey 3000 MKII. This Austin Healey 3000 was originally built in 1961 and delivered to the United States. It is a so-called BT7 version, i. e. a 2+2-seater. In the early 1990s, the car underwent a complete restoration, during which it was completely repainted and the interior was also completely renewed. This magnificent roadster arrived in the Netherlands in 1995 and has since been owned by a single owner, who has maintained the car with great care and love over the years. This elegant Austin Healey features a beautiful and perfect colour combination of Old English White with a red leather interior. The restoration took place some time ago, but the car is still in very nice and good condition. Slight discolouration is visible on the underside of the body panels, but the paintwork still retains much of its particularly pleasing shine. The various chrome and trim parts are also still in good condition. The same applies to the various rubber parts and seals, which are also still in very good condition. The soft top has seen little use over the years and is still in fairly good condition. The side windows are also present on the car. The interior is still in exceptionally good condition. The red leather seats with elegant white piping are still in almost new condition. It's truly remarkable that the interior is in such good condition after all these years. It clearly shows the care and love with which the car has been maintained. The elegant red interior matches the Old English White body colour perfectly. The red carpet is still in very good condition and the beautiful red dashboard with magnificent Smiths counters is a sight to behold. Of course, all the instruments work properly. The wooden steering wheel is beautiful to look at and also fits this car perfectly. When we open the bonnet we see a magnificent engine block. The 2912cc six-cylinder engine is not only beautiful to look at, but even more beautiful to listen to. This magnificent engine, fitted with the well-known three SU carburettors, runs particularly smoothly and quietly. The gearbox is equipped with an overdrive, offering extra comfort. This magnificent Austin Healey is not only beautiful to look at but even more wonderful to drive. The brakes work firmly and solidly and the car shifts very easily and very well.
