The Mercedes 190 SL we are offering for sale is in perfect condition. Its original configuration is as elegant as it is rare on the market today, with its magnificent blue paintwork and navy blue leather interior.
On our 190SL, all the chrome is beautiful, in perfect condition, rust-free and with the same shine as it had in its day. The exterior seals are in good condition, with no cracks or crazing.
The headlights are functional and look very good, with no cracks.
As far as the mechanicals are concerned, all is well. The original 4-cylinder engine with carburettors is in good shape. The car starts from a standing start and drives perfectly well, with good acceleration and compression. The gearbox is in great shape, with every gear changing smoothly and with great precision given the age of the car. Once you're behind the wheel, there's no noticeable noise and the suspension is in good condition. The bodywork is in very good overall condition, with a rare shade of its magnificent original blue. The chassis is in very good condition overall, with no rust. The floorboards, wheel arches and rocker panels are not subject to any perforating rust.
The paintwork is in very good condition, has a nice sheen and is in the original colour. Inside, the original navy blue leather seats are in very good condition. The dashboard is painted in body colour, with all the original buttons, and even the period radio. There is also the magnificent steering wheel typical of SL models, here very well preserved.
The interior is completed by leather door panels in the same colour as the seats, and the car has passed the roadworthiness test to ensure that it is in good working order. This Mercedes is registered as a collector's vehicle.
