Description
Former Fiat 1500 Barchetta found in a barn and remodelled by Touring. The car is in running and driving condition but requires restoration. The chassis is rust free. It will need little or no attention. The bodywork will need some attention and a fresh coat of paint to make it shiny and smooth again. Or... take care of the mechanical aspects and leave the car as original as possible. This 1500 Barchetta is powered by its 1500cc in-line 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed gearbox. It's quite a lively car to drive with its lightweight shape and bodywork. The engine is fed by a set of 3 solex carburettors. To stop the little car, you'll find drum brakes at the front and rear, behind attractive alloy wheels shod with Michelin tyres. To drive the car, the driver and co-driver sit comfortably in the burgundy leatherette bucket seats. Sitting behind the steering wheel, they overlook the neat alloy dashboard, which houses just a few dials and control buttons. Sober but elegant! It's a perfect cruiser to enjoy, or better still, it would be perfect for taking part in historic rallies as the power-to-weight ratio is simply excellent. It could even be considered for participation in major rallies such as the Mille Miglia or others.
