Presented at the 1922 Salon de l'Automobile alongside the CC and CS models, the C4 was distinguished by a lengthened and reinforced chassis, offering increased seating capacity. At the time, Amilcar offered its vehicles in the form of chassis-motors, which allowed a variety of body styles to be chosen from: torpedos, sports versions, interior drives, and even a utility model for small deliveries.
