Motors Corner presents for sale this 1966 Lancia Flavia Convertible Vignale:
Lancia, with this Flavia convertible, was a pioneer in the true four-seater cabriolet segment, blending style, elegance and comfort.
Only 1, 600 examples left the Vignale factory in Grugiasco.
Our example has belonged to a Lancia collector for several years; he took care of the full repaint of the car, as well as the engine restoration, and a major general overhaul of the car.
Regarding the mechanicals:
The car is in very good mechanical condition, covers long distances, and is up to date with all works.
Between 2021 and 2023, the owner had the engine restored in Italy by a specialist; new piston rings are in the original standard size, as the crankshaft did not require regrinding.
All ancillary components have been replaced with new, the entire oil circuit was redone, as well as the cooling and fuel circuits, both new.
On the gearbox and transmission side, the two CV joint seals are new, and the two prop shafts have been overhauled.
The front and rear suspension have been overhauled, with replacement of silent blocks, flex couplings, ball joints, wheel bearings, etc.; the four dampers and four tyres are new.
The braking system has also been overhauled, replacement of the master cylinder, hoses, copper pipes.
The final engine break-in service will be carried out for the sale.
Regarding the exterior:
The vehicle has had a full repaint recently, in very good condition,
no dents to the bodywork, the chrome is in perfect condition, the wheels likewise,
The hood frame has been repainted and is functional, however there is no hood fabric and it needs replacing.
Regarding the interior:
The interior was dismantled in 2024 for a full clean, with new carpet fitted.
The upholstery is original and in good condition, with a nice patina.
The dashboard is in very good condition, as are the door interiors.
