L’Atelier des 1000 has the pleasure of offering for sale an icon as rare as it is coveted: the Maserati Ghibli II 2. 0 Biturbo in Rosso Maserati with its elegant black leather interior.
Developed by Maserati in the 1990s to meet, among other things, Italian tax rules favouring 2. 0L engines, this exclusive version is based on the famous maison-made twin-turbo V6.
Resulting in around 306 hp, two IHI turbos delivering explosive revs, and performance worthy of supercars of the era.
Produced in around 2, 700 examples in total, the Ghibli II remains today an exceptional youngtimer, combining history, rarity and pure mechanical pleasure.
The model we are presenting was bought new in Italy by a French resident of Nancy on 21/ 04/ 1994.
It is in remarkable condition, a reflection of meticulous maintenance and excellent preservation over the years, as evidenced by the complete original documentation and a file of invoices from Maserati or other brand specialists, allowing the service history of this Ghibli to be traced since its purchase.
Mechanically, an engine restoration has just been carried out by a professional. The engine, still in run-in, runs very well. The V6 paired with its turbos delivers the unique and characteristic Maserati Bi-turbo sound.
Independently of the engine overhaul, the two turbos have been replaced, as well as standard ancillary components such as the timing belt and other peripherals such as the alternator and the expansion tank.
The Getrag 6‑speed manual gearbox is a pleasure to use, with precise gearshift and gears that mesh smoothly.
During the service, the clutch was replaced, and it now performs its role perfectly.
The chassis, renowned for its balance and efficiency, is sound and precise.
The running gear is in excellent condition, the steering bellows and the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft having been replaced during the latest servicing.
The rear axle has undergone a standard exchange, ensuring reliability and longevity.
The 17-inch wheels, an option for the era, are in excellent condition, and are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres.
The paint is very good and offers a fine shine, with no notable defects.
The underbody shows a good overall condition, in line with the rest of the vehicle.
The original black leather interior is very well preserved. The electric seats provide excellent support and testify to the care given to the vehicle’s preservation.
The dashboard is neither cracked nor worn, and all of the instrumentation functions correctly.
The original steering wheel is perfectly preserved, and the onboard instrumentation is functional.
Given the condition and configuration of this vehicle, we are asking for €33, 490. Part-exchange possible.
